John appeared on BBC Radio 2's Chris Evans show to unveil the portrait of Tony Blackburn. Performer in the Portrait, presented by John, has been made radio choice by The Daily Telegraph and Radio Times. The portrait, commissioned by the BBC, can be viewed in the portfolio.

John has been commissioned by the BBC to paint Tony Blackburn to celebrate 50 years of broadcasting. The conversations during the sitting have been made in to a programme for BBC Radio 2. It's called Performer in the Portrait, to be broadcast on 19 June.

John has painted Sir Richard Carew-Pole of Antony House, Torpoint in Cornwall. Antony was used as a location for the latest 'Alice in Wonderland' film.

John has been shortlisted for the Holburne Portrait Prize 2010. One of has portraits will be in the exhibition of shortlisted artists held in the Chapel Row Art Gallery in Queen's Square, Bath.

Peregrine St. Germans has posed for a portrait. He is a well known aristocrat and founder of the Port Eliot and Elephant Festivals held on his huge Cornish estate.

Rosie Boycott has posed for a portrait painting. Rosie Boycott is a journalist and cultural commentator. Boycott founded the feminist oracle Spare Rib and was editor of The Express, The Independent and The Independent on Sunday. She was often on the Late Review couch too.

John has painted a portrait of the famous aristocrat Francis Fulford who lives near Exeter. The portrait can be seen in the portfolio. You might remember Francis Fulford from a fly on the wall television show about his family.

You can now see the portrait of Tim Smit in the portfolio. It was painted earlier this year. Tim Smit is the founder of Cornwall's Eden Project.

A portrait of John's has been selected for the RWA Annual Exhibition. The Exhibition will open at the Academy on 25 October, Queen's Road, Bristol.

Two of John's paintings have been accepted for the Exeter based South West Academy's annual exhibition. One of the paintings is a portrait and the other is a landscape. The exhibition will be in Exeter in July this year.

Some of John's paintings are in the Straight from the Studio exhibiton at the Walronds, Fore Street, Cullompton. You can see the portrait of Seth Lakeman and other special treats. The exhibition opens for four days on April 23. John is painting a portrait commission of Michael Caines MBE; he's a chef from Exeter's ABode at the Royal Clarence and can be seen on the television sometimes. An image of the painting will be in the portfolio soon. The portrait of Seth Lakeman is now finished - have a look in the portfolio.

John won the Art in Devon Magazine Award at the South West Academy of Fine and Applied Arts Annual Exhibition for Portrait of an Artist (Kurt Jackson). The academy's exhibition is held at the Clifford Fishwick Gallery on Topsham Road in Exeter.
