January 2010
John has painted a portrait of the famous aristocrat Francis Fulford who lives near Exeter. The portrait can be seen in the portfolio. You might remember Francis Fulford from a fly on the wall television show about his family.
December 2009
You can now see the portrait of Tim Smit in the portfolio. It was painted earlier this year. Tim Smit is the founder of Cornwall's Eden Project.

John's portrait of Hugo Swire is now in the portfolio. Hugo Swire is the MP for East Devon.

John has painted a portrait painting of Exeter MP, Ben Bradshaw. He is a government minister. It is one John's favourite portraits, so have a look in the portfolio.

A portrait of John's has been selected for the RWA Annual Exhibition. The Exhibition will open at the Academy on 25 October, Queen's Road, Bristol.
The Holburne Portrait Prize exhibition will open on Chapel Street, Bath on October 17. John's portrait painting of Kurt Jackson is included.
Some of John's portraits are in an exhibition at Pirzwell St. John near Kentisbeare, Cullompton.

John has been shortlisted for the Holburne Portrait Prize. The painting that was submitted is Portrait of an Artist (Kurt Jackson).
John has painted a portrait of Sir John Nott. Sir John Nott was defence secretary and is now a writer living in Cornwall.

Two of John's paintings have been accepted for the Exeter based South West Academy's annual exhibition. One of the paintings is a portrait and the other is a landscape. The exhibition will be in Exeter in July this year.

John's portrait commission of Michael Caines, Exeter's Michelin starred chef, can now be seen in the portfolio.
April 2008
Some of John's paintings are in the Straight from the Studio exhibiton at the Walronds, Fore Street, Cullompton. You can see the portrait of Seth Lakeman and other special treats. The exhibition opens for four days on April 23. John is painting a portrait commission of Michael Caines MBE; he's a chef from Exeter's ABode at the Royal Clarence and can be seen on the television sometimes. An image of the painting will be in the portfolio soon. The portrait of Seth Lakeman is now finished - have a look in the portfolio.

John is painting a portrait of Seth Lakeman. Seth sings folk songs and was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. Soon come: Glastonbury Festival's founder Michael Eavis.

Art in Devon magazine has a page on John's award for his portrait of the Cornish landscape artist Kurt Jackson. It is just inside the back cover.

John won the Art in Devon Magazine Award at the South West Academy of Fine and Applied Arts Annual Exhibition for Portrait of an Artist (Kurt Jackson). The academy's exhibition is held at the Clifford Fishwick Gallery on Topsham Road in Exeter.

John won the Visitors' Choice Award at the Thelma Hulbert Open for Maggie. The work can be seen in the Thelma Hulbert Gallery in Honiton, near Exeter.
