Most portraits are painted following an hour's photography session with the artist at his studio near Exeter in Devon. John can travel should this be more convenient to the sitter. On average a portrait can be completed in six weeks, depending on the current waiting list. All paintings are oil on wood panel. The fee is payable upon completion and no deposit is required.
